About us

Based in Hyattsville, MD, Daniel & Rachel (D&R) quickly recognized an abundance of feral and stray cats in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area. We at D&R strive to decrease the rate of reproduction and opportunity for disease spread through a trap, neuter/spay, vaccinate, return (“TNVR”) program. As part of our TNVR program, we identify cats and kittens that deserve to live long happy lives indoors. Many “feral” cats are actually friendly and loving, and with a little patience, love, and attention from us at D&R, successfully live happy full lives in their fur-ever homes.

With unfixed cats comes an abundance of KITTENS! Kittens can adapt quickly to the comforts and ways of indoor life, so we raise them until they are older and healthy enough to be adopted into loving homes.

For those cats and kittens better suited for the outdoor lifestyle, after they successfully complete our TNVR program, we release them back into their neighborhood. If you’re looking to adopt your new best friend, visit our current list of cats and kittens available for adoption.
