AGREEMENT & LIABILITY WAIVER

I understand that fostering a cat is a commitment and requires providing proper care, socialization, and a safe environment. I acknowledge that:

Temperament & Behavior:

Cats in foster care may have unknown histories and may display behaviors such as shyness, aggression, or health issues. In some cases cats may show aggression even when unprovoked. I accept that D&R Cat Rescue cannot guarantee the temperament of any cat and that behaviors may change over time. I agree to work with D&R Cat Rescue to address behavioral concerns and will not hold D&R Cat Rescue liable for any injury or damage caused by a foster cat.

Medical Care:

I will notify D&R Cat Rescue immediately if my foster cat shows signs of illness or injury. I understand that any veterinary care must be pre-approved by the rescue.

Ownership & Reclaiming:

I understand that all foster cats remain the property of D&R Cat Rescue. I will not give away, sell, or adopt out any foster cat without written approval. D&R Cat Rescue reserves the right to reclaim the foster cat at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to concerns about the cat’s well-being, changes in the ability to foster, or failure to comply with foster guidelines. I agree to cooperate fully in returning the foster cat upon request.

Home Visit & Check-ins:

I agree to allow D&R Cat Rescue to conduct home visits or check-ins, with reasonable advance notice, to ensure the well-being of the foster.

Liability Waiver:

I release D&R Cat Rescue from any liability related to the foster cat, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or illness to humans or other pets in my household.

I have read and understand this foster agreement and agree to abide by the terms outlined above.
