Kernel

Age: ~4 years old

Sex: Male

Traits: Talkative, attention seeking, loves being pet and held.

Preferences: Friendly with other cats.

Biography: Kernel was trapped for TNR outside of a house with ~35 stray and feral cats, but the home owner noted that he was friendly. His head and ears were scabbed over and one ear was deformed. He looked so uncomfortable. After a quick vet visit where he was neutered and given vaccines, we learned he had chronic ear mites and ear infections. He seemed so loving and calm from the beginning, so we decided to give him a chance. Over several weeks he received many medications, baths, ear cleanings, isolation from other cats, and lots of love, attention, and snuggles. His personality began to shine; his unique meow, playfulness, and love of being held won everyone over. Other than a wonky ear that just adds to his adorable personality, he is now a healthy and much more comfortable boy. Kernel (now Finley) was adopted into a beautiful home where he received all of the love and attention he deserves.
